The Worthington hosted the Mankato West in the action on Tuesday in what was expected to be a close game. The game went into overtime and Worthington prevailed. The final score was 3-2.

Worthington's Megan Dykstra scored the game-winning goal.

The first period was scoreless, and early into the second period, the Worthington players took the lead when Riley Nickel scored the first goal assisted by Marin Pederson and Peyton Nickel.

Midway through, the Mankato West's players Hope Rademaker scored a goal, assisted by Brooke Ponkrandt and Penny Gorman, making the score 1-1.

Maree Zimmerman took the lead halfway through the third period, assisted by Marleigh Jordan and Brooke Ponkrandt.

Riley Nickel tied the game 2-2 three minutes later. With this tie the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 2:25 before Megan Dykstra scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Lauren Nelson.
