The Minneapolis players tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Celia Midtbo scored, assisted by Ruby Christman and Savannah Forrest.
The second period ended with a 4-1 lead for the Woodbury players.
Hailey Graunke increased the lead to 5-1 in the middle of the third period, assisted by Jadyn Smith and Payten Olson.
Brooke Gnetz increased the lead to 6-1 two minutes later, assisted by Reese Herrig.
Eloise McKinney narrowed the gap to 6-2 less than a minute later, assisted by Ana Davis and Natalia Hardcopf.
Laini Gnetz increased the lead to 7-2 two minutes later.
