Stonehill Skyhawks couldn't stop Long Island University Sharks' winning run

The Long Island University Sharks and the Stonehill Skyhawks met on Friday. LIU came into the game off the back of a run of five successive wins and managed to claim yet another victory. The game finished 5-1.

The Long Island University Sharks and the Stonehill Skyhawks met on Friday. LIU came into the game off the back of a run of five successive wins and managed to claim yet another victory. The game finished 5-1.

The hosting Sharks took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Megan Bouveur. Journey Miller and Paula Bergström assisted.

The Sharks increased the lead to 2-0 early in the second period when Megan Bouveur found the back of the net again, assisted by Ashley Morrow and Carrigan Umpherville.

Four minutes into the period, Maggie Culp scored a goal, assisted by Abby Latorella, making the score 3-0.

Skyhawks' Maeve Carey tallied a goal five minutes into the period, making the score 3-1. Lily Geist assisted.

The Sharks increased the lead to 4-1 early into the third period when Sarah Rourke netted one.

Sarah Rourke increased the lead to 5-1 six minutes later.
