A tight game between the home-team Vermont Catamounts and the visiting Boston University Terriers wasn't settled until the third period, when Vermont scored the game-winning goal, ending it 2-1.

Vermont's Natalie Mlynkova scored the game-winning goal.

The first period was scoreless, and midway through the second period, the Catamounts took the lead when Natalie Mlynkova opened the scoring assisted by Lily Humphrey and Corinne McCool.

Late, the Terriers' Sydney Healey scored a goal, assisted by Julia Nearis and Nadia Mattivi, making the score 1-1.

The Catamounts took the lead, after only 54 seconds into the third period when Natalie Mlynkova scored yet again, assisted by Lily Humphrey and Theresa Schafzahl. That left the final score at 2-1.
