The Crusaders started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Alexia Moreau scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Bryn Saarela and Kailey Langefels.
The Black Bears tied the score 1-1 in the first period when Elise Morphy opened the scoring, assisted by Ida Kuoppala and Grace Heiting.
The Black Bears made it 2-1 halfway through the second period when Mira Seregely netted one, assisted by Alyssa Wruble and Lilli Welcke.
Luisa Welcke increased the lead to 3-1 late in the third period, assisted by Lilli Welcke and Mira Seregely.
