Lindenwood Lions grab extra point vs. Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers in overtime

The Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers and the visiting Lindenwood Lions tied 1-1 in regulation on Saturday. Lindenwood beat RIT in overtime 2-1.

Lindenwood's Meara Ryan scored the game-winning goal.

The Tigers first took the lead halfway through the third period, with a goal from Nicole Ness, assisted by Megan McCormick.

The Lions tied the score 1-1 with 50 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Kaitlin Finnegan, assisted by Thea Jorgensen and Meara Ryan.

In overtime, it took 1:20 before Meara Ryan scored the game-winner for the road team, assisted by Morgan Neitzke and Brooke Pioske.

The Tigers travel to Mercyhurst on Friday at 5 p.m. CST. The Lions will face St. Cloud State at home on Friday at 7:10 p.m. CST.
