The Wolverines started the second period strong, receiving goals from Dylan Duke and Kent Johnson.

The Golden Gophers closed the gap to 4-2 with a goal from Ben Meyers with just one minute left on the clock, adding some tension late in the game.
The Golden Gophers were whistled for 21 penalty minutes, while the Wolverines spent 6 minutes in the penalty box.
The result means the Wolverines have secured the title.
