Minnesota State University men's hockey fans didn't have many opportunities to watch the Mavericks in person this season.

They will get a chance to celebrate the best season in program history, though, on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Hall at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature comments from Mavericks head coach Mike Hastings as well as a question-and-answer session with the Mavericks.

All fans who intend to come must register, and a limited number of tickets are available at MSUMavericks.com/welcomehome.

The event will also be live-streamed at MSUMavericks.com/welcomehome. Due to COVID protocols, there will be no interaction or autograph requests with players allowed.

Minnesota State finished 22-5-1 overall this season and made its first ever appearance in the NCAA Division I Frozen Four, falling 5-4 to St. Cloud State on a last-minute goal. The Mavericks won the WCHA regular season championship and defeated Minnesota to win the NCAA West Regional on March 28. Goalie Dryden McKay was named an All-American for the second consecutive season, and head coach Mike Hastings was named the winner of the Spencer Penrose Award as the nation's top men's college hockey coach.
