Waseca victorious against Fairmont

The Waseca defeated the Fairmont 5-2 on Tuesday.

The visiting team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Harper Artz. Corene Moeller assisted.

The Waseca players tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Makayla Forthun scored, assisted by Madelyn Malecha.

The Waseca's players Emma Keith took the lead in the middle of the first.

The second period ended with a 4-1 lead for the Waseca players.

Katlyn Schueller increased the lead to 5-1 in the middle of the third period.

Isabella Larson narrowed the gap to 5-2 two minutes later.

The teams play their next games on Thursday. The Waseca players will host the Visitation players at 7:45 p.m. CST at St. Thomas Ice Arena, and the Fairmont players will visit the Austin players at 7 p.m. CST at Fairmont-Martin County Arena.
