The hosting Proctor/Hermantown players started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Reese Heitzman scoring after only 59 seconds, a goal assisted by Nya Sieger and Hailey Jussila.
The Warroad players tied the score 1-1 in the first period when Kate Johnson scored the first goal, assisted by Talya Hendrickson and Rylee Bartz.
Reese Heitzman scored late in the second period.
Kate Johnson tied the game 2-2 in the third period. With this tie the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 1:28 before Kaiya Sandy scored the game-winner for the road team.
