Warroad beat in overtime the Proctor/Hermantown

The teams were tied after 60 minutes but overtime saw the Warroad come away with the close win over the Proctor/Hermantown on the road on Saturday. The final score was 3-2.

The teams were tied after 60 minutes but overtime saw the Warroad come away with the close win over the Proctor/Hermantown on the road on Saturday. The final score was 3-2.

Warroad's Kaiya Sandy scored the game-winning goal.

The hosting Proctor/Hermantown players started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Reese Heitzman scoring after only 59 seconds, a goal assisted by Nya Sieger and Hailey Jussila.

The Warroad players tied the score 1-1 in the first period when Kate Johnson scored the first goal, assisted by Talya Hendrickson and Rylee Bartz.

Reese Heitzman scored late in the second period.

Kate Johnson tied the game 2-2 in the third period. With this tie the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 1:28 before Kaiya Sandy scored the game-winner for the road team.
