The UW-River Falls Falcons won the road game against the Saint Mary's Cardinals 5-2 on Friday.
The visiting Falcons took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Aubrey Nelvin. Abigail Stow and Alex Hantge assisted.
The Falcons increased the lead to 2-0 late in the first when Maddie McCollins scored, assisted by Kaitlyn Ronn and Megan Goodreau.
The Cardinals narrowed the gap to 2-1 with a goal from Taryn Dornseif late in the first, assisted by Allie Urlaub and Kennedy Kraus.
The Falcons scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-2 going in to the second break.
The Falcons increased the lead to 5-2 with 01.02 remaining of the third period after a goal from Maddie McCollins, assisted by Kaitlyn Ronn and Holly Eckers.
