UW-River Falls Falcons win 7-2 on the road against St. Olaf Oles

The UW-River Falls Falcons won on the road on Tuesday, handing the St. Olaf Oles a defeat 7-2.

The UW-River Falls Falcons won on the road on Tuesday, handing the St. Olaf Oles a defeat 7-2.

The visiting Falcons started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Emma Schmitz scoring in the first minute, a goal assisted by Bailey Olson.

The second period ended with a 6-1 lead for the Falcons.

The Oles narrowed the gap again early into the third period when Lauren Spear found the back of the net, assisted by Grace Lankas.

Madison Lavergne increased the lead to 7-2 seven minutes later, assisted by Brooke Lemke.

The Oles host Augsburg on Friday at 7 p.m. CST. The Falcons will face Gustavus on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. CST.
