Treptau strikes twice as Delano/Rockford beat Visitation

The Delano/Rockford defeated the visiting Visitation 7-1 on Saturday.

The Visitation players took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Gracia Munoz.

The Delano/Rockford players tied the game 1-1 with a goal from Audrey Mcclurg halfway through the first, assisted by Ava Reierson and Meredith Duis.

Four goals were scored in the second period, and the Delano/Rockford players led 5-1 going in to the third period.

The Delano/Rockford players increased the lead to 6-1, after only 14 seconds into the third period when Emma Treptau found the back of the net again, assisted by Kayleigh Olson.

Meg Mauch increased the lead to 7-1 nine minutes later, assisted by Tori Bekkala.

The Delano/Rockford players were called for no penalties, while the Visitation players received no penalties.

The teams play their next games on Tuesday. The Delano/Rockford players will host the South St Paul players at 7 p.m. CST at Doug Woog Arena, and the Visitation players will visit the North St. Paul/Tartan players at 6 p.m. CST at Tartan Ice Arena.
