A tight game between the home-team Brainerd/Little Falls and the visiting Wayzata wasn't settled until the third period, when Wayzata scored the game-winning goal, ending it 3-2.

The Wayzata players took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Julia Ostapeic.

The Brainerd/Little Falls players tied the score 1-1 early into the second period when Peyton LeMieur found the back of the net, assisted by Aubree Caauwe.

The Wayzata players took the lead early into the third period when Julia Ostapeic scored again, assisted by Noelle Noble and Nicole Britz.

Noelle Noble increased the lead to 3-1 four minutes later, assisted by Sam Mathe.

Lucy Peterson narrowed the gap to 3-2 late in the third, assisted by Josie Kappes.
