The first period was scoreless, and halfway through the second period, the Rensselaer Engineers players took the lead when Ellie Kaiser opened the scoring assisted by Marah Wagner and MJ Alexander.
Midway through, Asiah Taylor-Walters scored a goal, assisted by Sara Bayne and Sabrina Beaudoin, making the score 2-0.
3-0 goal came from Magdalena Erbenova who increased the Rensselaer Engineers' players lead, assisted by Ellie Kaiser and Marah Wagner, late.
The Rensselaer Engineers players were called for no penalties, while the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers players received no penalties.
