The Sun Devils took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Ty Jackson. Blake Dangos assisted.
The Sun Devils increased the lead to 2-0 with a goal from Jack Jensen late in the first, assisted by Ryan O'Reilly and Jack Judson.
The Sun Devils scored three goals in second period an held the lead 5-1 going in to the second break.
Brett Bamber narrowed the gap to 5-2 in the middle of the third period, assisted by Matt Allen.
