St. Thomas wins in overtime against Alaska

The St. Thomas managed to squeeze out an overtime home win against the Alaska, ending 3-2 in the action on Saturday.

The game-winning goal was scored by UST's Josh Eernisse.

The hosting team took the lead in the first period, with a goal scored by Mack Byers. Lucas Wahlin and Ryan O'Neill assisted.

Chase Dubois scored halfway through the second period, assisted by Brady Risk and Garrett Pyke.

Brady Risk then tallied a goal late, making the score 2-1. Garrett Pyke and Harrison Israels assisted.

Luc Laylin scored early into the third period, assisted by Grant Docter and Mack Byers, to tie the game. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.

In overtime, it took 1:28 before Josh Eernisse scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Cameron Recchi.
