The St. Scholastica Saints defeated the Saint Benedict Blazers 4-1 on Friday.
The Blazers started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Aurora Opsahl scoring within the first minute, a goal assisted by Ava Stinnett and Addy Hackley.
The Saints tied the score 1-1 early in the second period when Jessie Ketola beat the goalie, assisted by Lisa LaRoche and Taylor Leonard.
The Saints made it 2-1 halfway through when Gabby Gamst scored, assisted by Jessie Ketola.
The Saints increased the lead to 3-1 early into the third period when Allie Bussey netted one, assisted by Hanley Block and Kayla Kasel.
Halle Fields increased the lead to 4-1 in the middle of the third, assisted by Taylor Murray and Hannah Martin.
