The hosting St. Lawrence Saints players opened strong, early in the game with Abby Hustler scoring after only 58 seconds, a goal assisted by Julia Gosling and Kristina Bahl.
The St. Lawrence Saints players increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Anna Segedi struck, assisted by Julia Gosling and Abby Hustler.
The Syracuse Orange players narrowed the gap to 2-1 in the first period when Anna Leschyshyn scored, assisted by Sarah Marchand and Lauren Bellefontaine.
The Syracuse Orange players tied the game 2-2 with a goal from Sarah Marchand late in the first period, assisted by Tatum White and Mae Batherson.

Two goals were scored in the second period, the score being tied at 3-3 going in to the third period.
Rachel Bjorgan took the lead early into the third period.
The St. Lawrence Saints players increased the lead to 5-3 with 01.51 of play remaining into the third after a goal from Hillary Sterling, assisted by Shailynn Snow.
