The hosting team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Paige Loidolt. Kaitlyn Blair and Ellie Skaja assisted.
Madi Fleming scored late into the second period, assisted by Laura Denchfield.
Marie Reimer then tallied a goal late, making the score 3-0. Joslin Mumm and Raechel Painovich assisted.
Late, the Cobbers' Josie Hell scored a goal, assisted by Jerica Friese and Kaylie Zimmerman, making the score 3-1.
The Wildcats increased the lead to 4-1 within the first minute when Paige Loidolt beat the goalie yet again.
Kaylie Klemetsrud narrowed the gap to 4-2 late into the third period, assisted by Reghan Bork and McKenzie Oelkers.
