Girls hockey: West Fargo United powers past Devils Lake

Four goals in the second and third periods lifts West Fargo United to a win on Monday in Devils Lake

DEVILS LAKE — West Fargo United broke open a tied game with a pair of goals in both the second and third periods and defeated Devils Lake 5-1 on Monday at the Quentin Burdick Arena.

United's Zoey Gervais and Devils Lake's Hannah Houle traded goals about a minute apart in the first period. But United scored the game's next four goals to wrap up a game they fairly dominated , sporting a 52-18 advantage in shots on goal.

Gervais and United teammate Reagan Bents both scored two goals and Alyssa Smith had United's other goal and she also had an assist. Morgan Bents had three assists.
