Boys hockey: West Fargo wins a wild one in overtime

West Fargo ties game in final minute of regulation, then defeats Devils Lake on Caleb Roehrich's goal in OT on Tuesday

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — Caleb Roehrich scored at 1:47 of overtime to lead West Fargo to a 4-3 win over Devils Lake on Tuesday at the Burdick Arena.

Roehrich, Griffin Staahl and Colten Bossert played roles in West Fargo’s frantic comeback victory. Down 3-2 late in the third, Staahl tied the game with a power play goal at 16:16 of the third on assists from Bossert and Roehrich. Staahl and Bossert assisted on Roehrich’s overtime game-winner.

Brayden Jacobson took care of the goal-scoring up to that point, with goals in the first and second periods on assists from, of course, Bossert and Staahl.

Devils Lake goalie Zach White played valiantly, stopping 66 of 70 shots on goal.

Devils Lake fell to 1-13 overall and in the East Region. West Fargo improved to 4-12-1 overall and 4-11-1 in the East Region.
