Before the NCHC semifinals, a Q&A with commissioner Josh Fenton

He answers questions from Grand Forks about this year's tournament, future of the Frozen Faceoff and more

GRAND FORKS — NCHC commissioner typically gives a state of the conference speech during the NCHC Frozen Faceoff with reporters asking questions after at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Fenton answered questions at Ralph Engelstad Arena via Zoom on Sunday.

In the NCHC Frozen Faceoff semifinals Monday, second-seeded St. Cloud State (16-9-0) will play third-seeded Minnesota Duluth (14-9-2) at 3:06 p.m. and top-seeded North Dakota (19-5-1) will play fifth-seeded Denver (10-12-1) at 8:06 p.m. (CBS Sports Network). The championship game will be played at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday.
