Solid victory for Mankato East – shut out Minnesota River

The Mankato East won their home game against the Minnesota River. The team put in a strong effort and got a shutout. The game ended 11-0.

The Mankato East won their home game against the Minnesota River. The team put in a strong effort and got a shutout. The game ended 11-0.

The hosting Mankato East players took the lead in the middle of the first period, with a goal from Alexis Erickson. Emmy Schulz and Ashley Fischer assisted.

The Mankato East's players McKenzie Keller increased the lead to 2-0 halfway through the first.

The Mankato East players increased the lead to 3-0 late in the first when Jessica Eykyn scored, assisted by McKenzie Keller.

The second period ended with a 9-0 lead for the Mankato East players.

Emmy Schulz increased the lead to 10-0 early into the third period, assisted by Ashley Fischer.

In the end the 11-0 came from Kailey Newton who increased the Mankato East's players lead, late in the third. The 11-0 goal was the last one of the game.
