Solid victory for Holy Family – shut out Wayzata

The Holy Family won their road game against the Wayzata. The team put in a strong effort and got a shutout. The game ended 4-0.

The Holy Family won their road game against the Wayzata. The team put in a strong effort and got a shutout. The game ended 4-0.

The first period was scoreless, and midway through the second period, the Holy Family players took the lead when Olivia Paidosh scored the first goal assisted by Maielle Schugel.

Taylor Koeppl increased the lead to 2-0 early in the third period.

Haley Box increased the lead to 3-0 just one minute later, assisted by Taylor Koeppl and Grayson Limke.

In the end the 4-0 came from Haley Box who increased the Holy Family's players lead, assisted by Maddy Helmstetter and Ella Knewtson, late into the third. The 4-0 goal held up as the game winner.

The Wayzata players play Maple Grove away on Saturday at 3 p.m. CST at Maple Grove Community Center. The Holy Family players will face Shakopee at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. CST at Victoria Ice Arena.
