The East Ridge players started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Lily Fetch scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Addison Andre.
The East Ridge players increased the lead to 2-0 in the first period when Bella Schmidt scored, assisted by Cheyne Walz.
The Forest Lake's players Malia McKinnon narrowed the gap to 2-1 halfway through the first period, assisted by Maddy Monette.
The East Ridge players scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-3 going in to the second break.
The East Ridge players increased the lead to 5-3 within the first minute when Kaylah Latta found the back of the net, assisted by Addison Andre and Lily Fetch.
The East Ridge players increased the lead to 6-3, after only 37 seconds into the third period when Lily Fetch beat the goalie yet again, assisted by Vivian Ferrell and Cheyne Walz.
Julia Hayek narrowed the gap to 6-4 three minutes later, assisted by Ellie Zowin.
Addison Andre increased the lead to 7-4 nine minutes later.
