Shakopee overcome disadvantage to win

The Shakopee lagged behind ahead of the third period in their road game against the Prior Lake. But the team overcame the odds to win 3-2.

The Shakopee lagged behind ahead of the third period in their road game against the Prior Lake. But the team overcame the odds to win 3-2.

Shakopee's Hannah Grabianowski scored the game-winning goal.

The first period was scoreless, and early in the second period, the Prior Lake players took the lead when Lula Swanson opened the scoring assisted by Ava Guillemette and Ava Anderson.

Seven minutes into the period, the Prior Lake players made it 2-0 with a goal from Gianna Neist.

The Shakopee players narrowed the gap to 2-1 early into the third period when Addison Wedmann scored, assisted by Allison Parker.

Allison Parker tied the game 2-2 nine minutes later, assisted by Alex Snowden and Callie Peterson.

Hannah Grabianowski took the lead just one minute later, assisted by Annika Willmert and Rilee Nash.

The Prior Lake players host the Chaska/Chanhassen in the next game at home on Saturday at 2 p.m. CST at Chaska Community Center. The same day, the Shakopee players will host the Eastview players at 12 p.m. CST at Shakopee Ice Arena.
