The Pipers took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Sam Dabrowski. Ryan Brandt and Bailey Sommers assisted.
The Cardinals tied the score 1-1 with 03.00 remaining of the third period after a goal from Jack Campion, assisted by Warner Young.
