The Cardinals took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Thomas Magnavite. Nathan Solis and Kellen Tharaldson assisted.

The Cardinals increased the lead to 2-0 within the first minute of the third period when Gabe Potyk scored.

The Vikings narrowed the gap to 2-1 early in the third when Jordan Cooper found the back of the net, assisted by Cory Checco and Kyle Gierman.

Nikita Sheberov increased the lead to 3-1 late into the third, assisted by Laudon Poellinger and Thomas Magnavite.

The Cardinals were called for no penalties, while the Vikings received no penalties.
