The Saint Benedict Blazers won at home on Saturday, handing the St. Scholastica Saints a defeat 6-2.
The Saints started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Halle Fields scoring within the first minute, a goal assisted by Allie Bussey and Lizzie Northquest.
The Blazers tied the score 1-1 in the first period when Jenna Timm scored the first goal, assisted by Sami Hackley.
Four goals were scored in the second period, and the Blazers led 4-2 going in to the third period.
Emma Rooks increased the lead to 5-2 early in the third period, assisted by Mia Lopez.
