The game-winning goal was scored by RPI's Jack Brackett.
The hosting Engineers took the lead late into the first period, with a goal scored by Altti Nykanen. Rory Herrman and Kyle Hallbauer assisted.
The Lakers' Cade Townend tied it up late in the first, assisted by Carson Briere and Owen Norton.
After that the game entered an indecisive standstill. Nick Strom scored in the middle of the second period.

Keanan Stewart scored late into the third period, assisted by Mickey Burns and Brendon Michaelian, to tie the game for the Lakers. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 41 seconds before Jack Brackett scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Kyle Hallbauer and Jakob Lee.
