Raiders defeated Big Red on road

Road-team Colgate got a single-goal win Cornell. The team won 2-1 on Sunday.

The first period was scoreless.

It wasn't until 11:05 into the second period that the Raiders took the lead when Matt Verboon opened the scoring goal assisted by Josh McKechney.

The Raiders took the lead 2-0 when Ross Mitton scored with 08.12 remaining in the third period and came even closer to victory.

Ben Berard closed the gap for the Big Red at 2-1, and gave the game life once more with just one minute of play remaining.

The Big Red were whistled for just two penalty minutes, while the Raiders received four minutes.
