The St. Cloud State Huskies players narrowed the gap to 2-1 three minutes into the period when Klára Hymlárová scored the first goal, assisted by Bailey Burton and Taytum Geier.

The Ohio State Buckeyes players scored within the first minute when Sloane Matthews found the back of the net, assisted by Sofie Lundin and Riley Brengman.

Lauren Bernard increased the lead to 4-1 four minutes later.

Jenniina Nylund narrowed the gap to 4-2 six minutes later, assisted by Taylor Lind and Regan Bulger.
