With no decisive score in regulation, the Northern Michigan's home game against the Bowling Green ran into overtime on Sunday. NMU snatched the win with a final score of 4-3.
The game-winning goal was scored by NMU's AJ Vanderbeck.
The Wildcats started the game strong, with two quick goals from Joey Larson and AJ Vanderbeck.
Austen Swankler scored midway through the second period, assisted by Dalton Norris and Spencer Schneider.
Ethan Scardina then tallied a goal halfway through, making the score 2-2. Jaden Grant assisted.

The Falcons scored again, making it 3-2 with a goal from Austen Swankler after 8:05 in the third period.
The Wildcats came back and made it 3-3 after David Keefer found the back of the net in the period.
In overtime, it took 3:47 before AJ Vanderbeck scored the game-winner for the home team, assisted by Artem Shlaine.
