The Wildcats took the lead late in the first period, a goal by AJ Vanderbeck. Artem Shlaine and Colby Enns assisted.

Four goals were scored in the second period, and the Wildcats led 5-0 going in to the third period.

The Wildcats increased the lead to 6-0 early into the third period when Alex Frye beat the goalie, assisted by Kristof Papp and Joey Larson.

Connor Marritt narrowed the gap to 6-1 three minutes later, assisted by Derek Hamelin and Maximilion Helgeson.

David Keefer increased the lead to 7-1 nine minutes later, assisted by Josh Zinger.

Michael Colella increased the lead to 8-1 two minutes later, assisted by Andre Ghantous.

Vincent de Mey increased the lead to 9-1 less than a minute later, assisted by Jett Jungels and Reilly Funk.
