The game-winning goal was scored by Northeastern's Vinny Borgesi.
The hosting Huskies opened strong, right at the beginning of the game with Braden Doyle scoring in the first period, goal assisted by Matt Demelis.
Nolan Welsh scored within the first minute of the second period, assisted by Riley Wallack and Anthony Vincent.
Midway through, the Huskies made it 2-1 with a goal from Cam Lund.

Adam Goodsir scored in the remaining 49 seconds, assisted by Jordan Di Cicco and Santeri Hartikainen, to tie the game. With this goal, the score was tied and then, the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 1:16 before Vinny Borgesi scored the game-winner for the home team.
