The Northeastern Huskies players took the lead late in the first period, a goal by Megan Carter. Alyssa Antonakis and Abbey Marohn assisted.
Chloe Aurard scored in the middle of the second period, assisted by Alina Mueller and Maureen Murphy.
Halfway through, the Maine Black Bears' players Morgan Trimper scored a goal, assisted by Alyssa Wruble and Emma Lange, making the score 2-1.
With a minute left, the Northeastern Huskies players made it 3-1 with a goal from Alina Mueller.

The Northeastern Huskies players increased the lead to 4-1 early into the third period when Katy Knoll scored, assisted by Peyton Anderson and Maude Poulin-Labelle.
Katy Knoll increased the lead to 5-1 four minutes later, assisted by Maureen Murphy and Megan Carter.
Lily Shannon increased the lead to 6-1 eight minutes later, assisted by Molly Griffin.
