New Ulm's Brooke Arneson scored the game-winning goal.
The hosting team took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Makenna Andresen. Macy Portner and Noelle Simonette assisted.
The New Ulm players tied the game 1-1 late into the first when Michelle Smith scored.
The New Ulm players made it 2-1 early into the second period when Afton Hulke netted one, assisted by Mya Hornick.
The New Ulm players increased the lead to 3-1, after only 10 seconds into the third period when Evelyn Sellner beat the goalie.
Makenna Andresen narrowed the gap to 3-2 late in the third period, assisted by Makenna Mueller and Adrianna Bixby.
Noelle Simonette tied the game 3-3 just one minute later, assisted by Makenna Mueller and Adrianna Bixby. With this tie the game went to overtime.
In overtime, it took 5:00 before Brooke Arneson scored the game-winner for the road team.
