Mucha's two goals net Michigan State Spartans victory over Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks

Michigan State Spartans defeated the visiting Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks on Thursday in the NCAA, ending 4-3.

The game-winning goal was scored by MSU's Tanner Kelly.

The River Hawks started off strong and took the lead right after the beginning of the game with Brian Chambers scoring in the first period, a goal assisted by Carl Berglund and Brehdan Engum.

The Spartans tied the game 1-1 late into the first period when Miroslav Mucha scored, assisted by Matt Basgall and Nicolas Muller.

The Spartans took the lead with another goal from Miroslav Mucha late in the first, assisted by Powell Connor and Jeremy Davidson.

The Spartans' Christian Krygier increased the lead to 3-1 late in the first, assisted by Karsen Dorwart and Daniel Russell.

The second period ended with a 3-2 lead for the Spartans.

The River Hawks tied the score 3-3 within the first minute when Scout Truman beat the goalie, assisted by Nick Rhéaume.

Tanner Kelly took the lead in the middle of the third period.
