The St. Cloud State Huskies players opened strong, as the game was just getting started with Emma Gentry scoring after only 54 seconds, a goal assisted by Courtney Hall.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers players tied the game 1-1 halfway through the first period when Madison Kaiser scored, assisted by Savannah Norcross and Audrey Wethington.
Grace Zumwinkle took the lead late in the third period, assisted by Emily Oden and Madeline Wethington.
