COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The NCHC has begun the search for its third commissioner. The conference has contracted with Parker Executive Search, which will facilitate the process to find the full-time position for the NCHC, which was founded in 2011.
The NCHC search committee has representatives from all eight member institutions. The committee is co-chaired by University of North Dakota President Dr. Andy Armacost and University of Minnesota Duluth Athletic Director Josh Berlo. Armacost is the chair of the NCHC's Board of Directors. Berlo is a member of the NCHC Athletic Council.
The NCHC released the commissioner position profile on Thursday. Nominations and applications for the position should be directed to Grant Higgison at Parker Executive Search and he can be reached at GHigginson@parkersearch.com or 770-804-1996, Ext. 118.

Current NCHC commissioner Josh Fenton announced he would be leaving the NCHC for the same role with the Summit League and will begin in that role on April 11, 2022. This is the ninth season that Fenton has been the NCHC commissioner.
"The conference is seeking applications from the best and most passionate leaders in college hockey to fill the dedicated role of a single-sport commissioner," Armacost said in an NCHC news release. "Josh Fenton's remarkable guidance, commitment and vision has the NCHC well-positioned for continued leadership within NCAA hockey on and off the ice.
