GRAND FORKS — Harrison Feeney will play professionally next season.
The former UND goaltender has signed to play for Bollnas in Sweden. Bollnas plays in Division Three.
Feeney spent three-and-a-half seasons with the Fighting Hawks, primarily as the third goalie. He got into game action once during his time at UND.
It happened at the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Pod in Omaha in December 2022. He played for for 3 minutes, 33 seconds against Miami, stopping all three shots he faced.
Feeney had one year of college eligibility remaining, but decided to move on instead of battling Kaleb Johnson for the third goalie spot behind returner Jakob Hellsten and transfer Drew DeRidder.

The Lafayette Hill, Pa., product put his name into the NCAA transfer portal in April while searching for professional opportunities.
He found the opportunity in Sweden.
Feeney is one of seven roster departures from last season's team. UND lost three forwards, two defensemen and two goalies.
Forward Connor Ford graduated and signed with Henderson, while Ashton Calder transferred to Penn State and Brendan Budy is in the transfer portal.
Star defenseman Jake Sanderson signed with the Ottawa Senators, while fellow blue liner Brady Ferner informed the coaching staff he is signing an pro deal. He hasn't inked one yet, though.
In net, UND lost starting goalie Zach Driscoll, whose eligibility expired. Driscoll signed with Toledo in the ECHL to end last season and is currently a free agent.
UND will bring in four forwards (rookies Jackson Blake, Owen McLaughlin, Dylan James and Ben Strinden), two defensemen (transfers Ty Farmer and Ryan Sidorski) and one goalie next season (DeRidder).
The Fighting Hawks will carry three goalies on the roster next season instead of four like 2021-22.

UND opens with an exhibition game against the University of Manitoba on Oct. 1.
