SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — After being announced as the first head coach in Augustana men's hockey history on Monday, Garrett Raboin will be introduced by the University on campus Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Vikings are set to take the ice for the 2023-24 season.

After a decade as an assistant coach with Bob Motzko, first at St. Cloud State and now with the Gophers, Raboin is heading to Sioux Falls to start the new Augustana men's hockey program.

Raboin, 37, just completed his fourth season behind the bench as an assistant to Bob Motzko at Minnesota, claiming the 2022 Big Ten regular season championship and a spot in the Frozen Four. The Detroit Lakes, Minn. native has spent the past decade working with Motzko as an assistant and recruiter after a two-year professional playing career.

Raboin played four seasons as a defenseman at St. Cloud State from 2006 to 2010, captaining the Huskies during his final two seasons.

The live press conference, with comments expected from Raboin and Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton, is available below.
