BEMIDJI -- For the second time in as many months, Bemidji State men’s hockey junior Elias Rosén has been named the CCHA Defenseman of the Month.
Rosén roped in the February honor on Tuesday after also winning the January award.
The Mora, Sweden, native tallied six points through two goals and four assists in February, and he was second on the team with 19 shots on goal. Both his goals were game-winners, coming in a 5-3 win over Northern Michigan on Feb. 5 and in a 4-3 overtime win over St. Thomas on Feb. 26.
Rosén leads all BSU blueliners with 23 points (7g-16a) this season, which ranks fifth among all defensemen in the league. His 20 points in conference play is a CCHA-high among defensemen.
