The hosting Eagles took the lead early into the first period, with a goal from Cutter Gauthier. Lukas Gustafsson and Colby Ambrosio assisted.
The Eagles' Connor Joyce increased the lead to 2-0 late in the first, assisted by Mike Posma and Lukas Gustafsson.
The River Hawks narrowed the gap to 2-1 early into the second period when Owen Cole netted one, assisted by Ben Meehan.
