Ohio State victorious against Notre Dame

Ohio State defeated visiting Notre Dame 5-2. The game was all square after two periods but in the third OSU managed to pull out a win.

Ohio State defeated visiting Notre Dame 5-2. The game was all square after two periods but in the third OSU managed to pull out a win.

The hosting Buckeyes took the lead early into the first period, with a goal from Davis Burnside. Scooter Brickey and Tate Singleton assisted.

The Fighting Irish's Trevor Janicke tied the game 1-1 with a minute left in the first, assisted by Chase Blackmun and Jackson Pierson.

The Fighting Irish took the lead early in the second period when Fin Williams scored, assisted by Tyler Carpenter and Hunter Strand.

Six minutes into the period, the Buckeyes' Dominic Vidoli scored a goal, assisted by Tate Singleton, making the score 2-2.

Tate Singleton took the lead in the middle of the third period, assisted by Davis Burnside.

Jake Wise increased the lead to 4-2 two minutes later, assisted by Mason Lohrei.

The Buckeyes increased the lead to 5-2 with 01.56 remaining of the third after a goal from Patrick Guzzo.
