The visiting Pioneers took the lead early in the first period, with a goal from Ryan Steele. Blake Humphrey and Conner Hutchison assisted.

The Lakers tied the game 1-1 in the first period when Eric Esposito scored, assisted by Kyler Head and Steven Agriogianis.
