Canisius got away with a win on Saturday in its home game against American International. The game finished 3-2.

The hosting Golden Griffins opened strong, with Simon Gravel scoring in the first minute, a goal assisted by Hudson Lambert and Jackson Decker.

Jordan Biro scored early in the second period, assisted by Brett Callahan and Julius Janhonen.

Golden Griffins' Nick Bowman tallied a goal midway through, making the score 2-1. Randy Hernandez and Cody Schiavon assisted.

Alton McDermott increased the lead to 3-1 in the third period, assisted by Randy Hernandez.

Julius Janhonen narrowed the gap to 3-2 eight minutes later, assisted by Dustin Manz and Jordan Biro.
