The Mavericks got off to a good start with a 2-0 lead with two quick goals from Connor Gregga and David Silye.

The Mavericks scored again, making it 3-0 with a goal from Nathan Smith after 5:08 in the second period.

The Wildcats narrowed the gap to 3-1 after Alex Frye scored in the period.

The Mavericks then claimed three straight goals in as the team increased their lead from 3-1 to 6-1 in just 3:33.

The Mavericks continued to be dominant in the third period and won 8-1 in the end. The goals in the final period were scored by Julian Napravnik and Wyatt Aamodt.
