KEARNEY, Neb. — Top-seed Tri-City scored all its goals on the power play and defeated the Fargo Force 3-2 in the opening game of the Clark Cup Western Conference semifinals on Friday at the Viaero Center.

Tri-City's Cole McWard opened the scoring midway through the first but Fargo's Jack Peart tied it with a power play goal at 17:04 of the first on assists from Tristan Broz and Ryan Siedem.

Bear Hughes put the Force ahead 2-1 at 7:03 of the second period on assists from Siedem and Jeremy Davidson.

But Tri-City's Hunter Stand tied the game on the man advantage at 11:30 of the third and Mark Estapa netted the game-winner at 15:31. Tri-City was 3-for-3 on the power play, the Force was 1-for-5.
